Manchester United have reportedly identified Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White as a potential long-term replacement for Bruno Fernandes. United have joined Tottenham Hotspur in monitoring the England international, making initial inquiries as uncertainty grows regarding the future of their club captain under head coach Michael Carrick.
Fernandes recently addressed media speculation after being benched following tactical disagreements with Carrick, though he later returned to help Manchester United defeat Roma 3-2. Reports indicate United could trigger a contract extension before selling Fernandes, prompting recruitment staff to scout permanent midfield reinforcements.
