Injuries to Tottenham Hotspur defenders Micky van de Ven and Jan Paul van Hecke are reportedly not as serious as initially feared ahead of their match against Manchester United. Dutch journalist Joost Blaauwhof reported that neither centre-back has been ruled out of the upcoming fixture, bringing relief to manager Roberto De Zerbi after both players suffered issues during the international break.
Van Hecke had withdrawn from the Netherlands squad in significant pain, while club captain Van de Ven hurt his wrist against Serbia. With defender Pedro Porro already expected to miss the trip to Old Trafford, having the Dutch central defensive partnership potentially available comes as a crucial boost for bottom-placed Tottenham.
