Manchester United have identified Tottenham skipper Micky van de Ven as their top defensive target for next summer.
Manchester United have identified Tottenham Hotspur captain Micky van de Ven as their leading defensive target ahead of the 2027 summer transfer window. According to former chief scout Mick Brown, manager Michael Carrick's side is closely monitoring the 25-year-old Netherlands international to add pace and authority to their central defense.
Liverpool are also reportedly interested in Van de Ven as a potential permanent successor to Virgil van Dijk. However, Tottenham recently secured the center-back on a fresh contract and have no intention of entertaining transfer approaches, giving the North London club strong leverage in any negotiations.
