Tottenham winger Mathys Tel is set for a spell on the sidelines after being spotted on crutches while leaving Elland Road.

Tottenham Hotspur winger Mathys Tel was spotted on crutches and wearing a protective boot following an ankle injury suffered during Spurs' 1-0 defeat against Leeds United at Elland Road. The 21-year-old was forced off in the 42nd minute after Leeds wing-back Jayden Bogle caught the back of his ankle in a clumsy challenge that survived a four-minute VAR review.
Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi described the issue as a "bad injury" and confirmed medical checks will determine the full extent of the layoff in the coming days. The setback comes as Noah Okafor scored the winning goal for Leeds, snapping Tottenham's three-game winning run and leaving the squad potentially without Tel for several weeks.
