Romano makes ‘Tottenham matching rights’ revelation in new Bayern Munich contract for Kane

Bayern Munich and striker Harry Kane are making progress on a contract extension as his current deal approaches its final months. Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed that while financial terms are nearly agreed, discussions between Bayern and Kane's representative, Charlie Kane, are focusing on contract length and clauses involving potential matching rights for former club Tottenham Hotspur.

Kane stated on September 18 that he is extremely happy in Munich and wishes to extend his stay. Bayern supervisory board member Karl-Heinz Rummenigge expressed optimism about reaching an agreement, noting Kane's strong fitness record and his 73 goals across club and country during the previous season.
