Former Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood has reversed his past criticism of Pedro Porro, praising the full-back's progress and urging the club to keep him amid transfer interest from Real Madrid and Barcelona. Sherwood previously described Porro's defending as poor and questioned his abilities early in his Spurs career, but now considers him an excellent, progressive right-sided player.
Porro established himself as a key performer under manager Roberto De Zerbi during Tottenham's late-season run-in last year. Despite facing fitness issues this season, the Spanish defender is expected to be available for Tottenham's upcoming match against Chelsea.
