The defender is an injury worry for Tottenham ahead of the return of the Premier League this weekend

Tottenham Hotspur defender Micky van de Ven has addressed fans on social media following an injury scare during the Netherlands' 2-1 Nations League victory against Serbia. The center-back was substituted late in the match after Luka Jovic landed on his arm, causing hand pain. Van de Ven posted images on Instagram with the caption "2 weeks we can build on," notably omitting any mention of physical problems ahead of Tottenham's upcoming Premier League fixture against Manchester United.
Netherlands head coach Xavi played down the severity of the injury, explaining that Van de Ven felt dizzy after hurting his finger and insisted it was not a major issue. Tottenham will evaluate the defender upon his return to club duty as Roberto De Zerbi's side aims for their first league victory of the season at Old Trafford.
