Tottenham Hotspur attacking midfielder Xavi Simons has teased supporters on social media about his recovery progress after nearly six months on the sidelines. The 23-year-old Dutchman posted a picture wearing football boots, indicating a return to on-field training following an ACL injury suffered in April. Although originally reported to potentially miss action until 2027, Simons was included in manager Roberto De Zerbi's 25-man Premier League squad.
Spurs are also monitoring several other injured players across the squad. Reports indicate Dejan Kulusevski could return in the coming weeks following an absence of over 500 days. Meanwhile, Pedro Porro and Mykhailo Mudryk are both expected back before the end of October, whereas Wilson Odobert remains sidelined with an ACL injury until early 2027.
