Tottenham target Benfica winger Andreas Schjelderup has signed with new agency Gestifute ahead of the January transfer window.
Benfica winger Andreas Schjelderup has signed with Jorge Mendes' Gestifute agency ahead of joining Norway for international duty, according to Portuguese newspaper Record. The 23-year-old was targeted by Tottenham Hotspur during the summer transfer window prior to their deadline day signing of Mykhailo Mudryk, but Benfica refused to sanction a permanent departure.
Schjelderup's current contract with Benfica runs until 2028, and the club offered him an extension until 2031 in June that remains unanswered. Tottenham, now managed by Roberto De Zerbi, spent over £300m in the summer transfer window and had tracked Schjelderup following his performances for Norway.
