Tottenham Hotspur have settled on an experienced 27-year-old centre-forward as their top January target after studying various number nines around Europe. It is clear that…

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly identified Benfica striker Vangelis Pavlidis as their top transfer priority for the January window as they seek a replacement for Richarlison. According to journalist Mark Brus, Spurs have closely monitored the 27-year-old Greece international, who has scored 14 goals in 13 matches this season. Aston Villa, Fulham, Barcelona, AC Milan, and Juventus are also reportedly tracking the forward.
However, a mid-season permanent transfer appears unlikely because Benfica are reluctant to sell and the striker is protected by a €100m (£85m) release clause. The writer notes that while Pavlidis is open to a Premier League switch, Tottenham and other potential suitors will likely be forced to wait until the summer transfer window.
