Micky van de Ven went off injured for the Netherlands late on in their Nations League match against Serbia on Sunday after hurting himself in a bizarre accident

Tottenham Hotspur defender Micky van de Ven suffered an arm injury during the Netherlands' 2-1 Nations League victory over Serbia on Sunday. Van de Ven had to be helped off the pitch after Luka Jovic landed awkwardly on his left arm in the final minutes of the match, leaving the Dutch national team to finish the game with ten players.
Dutch manager Xavi downplayed fears of a long-term absence after the game, confirming that Van de Ven suffered a finger injury that left him feeling dizzy, though he stated it was not severe. The incident comes shortly after fellow Dutch defender Jan Paul van Hecke also withdrew from international duty after being stepped on in a previous fixture.
