The Story in 60 Seconds

Tottenham Hotspur prospect Yang Min-hyeok is one win away from matching former club captain Heung-min Son by winning an Asian Games gold medal. Yang's South Korea Under-23 side secured a place in the final with a 2-1 semifinal victory against China in Japan. The team is guaranteed at least a silver medal and is scheduled to face Japan on Saturday in the tournament decider.

The 20-year-old winger, who joined Belgian outfit KVC Westerlo on a season-long loan during the summer, was an unused substitute against China following earlier appearances in the competition. Tottenham officials hope Yang returns from international duty with a gold medal to earn regular playing time at Westerlo, where he has recorded two substitute appearances this season.
