Roberto De Zerbi was left fuming after Leeds United escaped having a player sent off during their Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur at Elland Road…

Roberto De Zerbi was left furious after Leeds United defender Jayden Bogle avoided a red card for a challenge on Mathys Tel during a Premier League clash at Elland Road. Tel was forced off with an injury just before half-time and was replaced by Dominic Solanke. The Premier League Match Centre clarified that VAR confirmed the on-field decision of no red card, deeming the challenge reckless rather than serious foul play due to a lack of speed.
The first half also featured a controversial penalty appeal from Leeds after Tottenham midfielder Mateus Fernandes handled a Gabriel Gudmundsson cross. Match referee John Brooks waved play on, and VAR upheld the on-field decision, concluding that the ball struck Fernandes in the shoulder area.
