Who was signed across the period? Which teams did they move from? How much of a part did each one play in the club's success?

Manchester City's key signings from 2009 to 2018 have been reviewed after an independent commission found the club guilty of breaching financial rules across that period. During these nine seasons, City invested over £1.2 billion on transfers, acquiring stars such as Sergio Aguero, David Silva, Yaya Toure, and Carlos Tevez. The club's substantial spending laid the foundation for sustained domestic dominance and an eventual treble in 2023.
Several recruits delivered legendary contributions, with Aguero becoming the club's record goalscorer with 260 goals and Kevin De Bruyne amassing 176 assists across all competitions. The 2017-18 campaign marked City's largest single-season outlay at £286.2 million, adding influential figures such as Bernardo Silva, Kyle Walker, and Ederson under manager Pep Guardiola. City denies all wrongdoing and the ruling remains subject to appeal.
