Real Madrid have reached a verbal agreement with 16-year-old JJ Gabriel over a potential move to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Real Madrid have reached a verbal agreement to sign 16-year-old Manchester United prospect JJ Gabriel in the January transfer window. Gabriel, who requested to leave Old Trafford in September and has not trained with the club since, is registered with United's academy until the end of the season. A FIFA loophole allows European clubs to sign him to a professional contract because he qualifies for a European passport through his parents.
Manchester United are considering legal action over the teenager's departure to secure greater compensation, although Gabriel's camp is reportedly unconcerned. The player and his family chose to pursue a move after growing dissatisfied with his first-team opportunities at United, despite previous interest from Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, and Bayern Munich.
