Cristiano Ronaldo's Asian Champions League match for Al-Nassr was delayed by an hour on Monday following a missile alert in Riyadh. The Saudi-led military coalition intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile fired by the Houthis, which had triggered emergency warnings and explosions across the city ahead of the scheduled kick-off against Uzbekistan's Neftchi Fergana.
Despite the pre-match disruption at Alawwal Park, the fixture went ahead safely and Al-Nassr secured a 3-1 victory. Ronaldo scored his 981st career goal just before half-time, playing shortly after receiving a provisional suspension from Portugal's national team.
