Celtic share conversion gives 15,500 ordinary shares voting rights, but the technical change does not alter boardroom power at Parkhead.

Celtic plc has converted 15,500 Convertible Cumulative Preference Shares into ordinary shares, raising the total ordinary-share count from 95,139,731 to 95,155,231. The move took effect on Thursday, September 24, following a London Stock Exchange announcement and an application for admission to trading on AIM. The converted shares now carry voting rights, representing roughly 0.016% of the previous ordinary-share total, but the specific holders exercising the rights were not named.
The transaction also generated 914,500 non-voting deferred shares, increasing their overall total to 707,530,916 under Celtic's share structure. Writer Alasdair Munn emphasizes that this technical conversion does not shift boardroom control or signify major ownership changes, despite heightened supporter scrutiny surrounding Celtic's governance.
