Former Celtic midfielder Arne Engels compared the intensity of West Ham United's rivalry against Millwall to the Glasgow Derby. The Belgian international featured for West Ham on Saturday in the London derby, later telling West Ham TV that the fierce atmosphere was definitely up there with Celtic versus Rangers.
Engels joined West Ham over the summer in a permanent £22 million transfer, two years after Celtic signed him for a club-record £11 million fee. The midfielder has been an ever-present figure for the Championship side, earning praise for his dead-ball delivery which former manager Brendan Rodgers previously described as world-class.
