Midfielder Paulo Bernardo has reflected on his departure from Celtic after joining Polish club Gornik Zabrze on a summer loan deal with an option to buy. Bernardo explained that a lack of regular playing time under managers Brendan Rodgers and Martin O'Neill led directly to his exit. Following honest discussions with O'Neill regarding his limited first-team opportunities, the manager supported his decision to seek regular minutes elsewhere.
Bernardo noted that being deployed in a deeper midfield role contributed to his struggles and inconsistent appearances at Celtic. Despite leaving for Poland, he expressed gratitude for his time in Glasgow and confirmed he remains open to the possibility of playing for Celtic again in the future.
