Celtic have no intention of sacking manager Martin O'Neill despite a difficult run of form, according to journalist Stephen McGowan speaking to BBC Sport Scotland. The Scottish club has lost three consecutive matches, including two Old Firm derbies and a Europa League fixture against Ferencvaros.
McGowan reported that majority shareholder Dermot Desmond will not dismiss O'Neill, leaving any potential departure down to the manager himself. O'Neill had previously hinted that he could consider walking away if he felt unable to solve the squad's performance issues.
