Celtic recorded a 65% win rate across the 75 matches missed by winger Jota during his 500-day injury layoff. Over that period, the club won 49 games, drew nine, and lost 17 across domestic and European competitions under three different managers: Brendan Rodgers, Martin O'Neill, and Wilfried Nancy. Jota finally returned to action on Sunday against Motherwell.
During Jota's prolonged absence, Celtic relied on wingers Daizen Maeda and Hyunjun Yang, as well as summer signings Sebastian Tounekti and Michel-Ange Balikwisha. Following his comeback appearance, Jota expressed his relief to Sky Sports, stating he had worked hard to recover and felt ready to contribute more.
