There is some genuinely good news coming out of Celtic Park, and for once, it is something supporters…

Twenty-year-old right-back Colby Donovan has signed a new long-term contract with Celtic, committing his future to the club through the summer of 2031. After stepping into the first team during Alistair Johnston's absence, Donovan made 17 appearances this season and started 15 matches, also earning his first call-up to the senior Scotland national squad.
Read Celtic argues that Donovan's breakthrough proves the club's academy pathway functions effectively and urges Celtic to build around homegrown talent. The publication highlights manager Martin O'Neill's praise for Donovan's maturity and contends that healthy competition between Donovan and Johnston will strengthen the squad while saving transfer budget for other positions.
