The Irishman is considering his future after being left miffed by decisions made surrounding the club

Celtic manager Martin O'Neill is reportedly considering his future at the club after experiencing "bad vibes" during pre-season. The 74-year-old is said to be despairing over Celtic's summer recruitment and believes the current squad is weaker than the team that won the league and cup double last season. Recent consecutive defeats to Rangers and a Europa League loss to Ferencvaros have further intensified doubts over his future.
According to journalist Graham Spiers, O'Neill's frustration stems from the board's transfer window decisions and protracted negotiations to secure backroom staff members Shaun Maloney and Mark Fotheringham. O'Neill also publicly admitted that the club failed to adequately replace midfielder Arne Engels, who was sold to West Ham United for £22 million.
