Celtic loanee Kyle Ure has impressed while playing out of position at left-back for Crewe Alexandra, completing 90 minutes in a 1-0 away victory over Swindon Town on Saturday. Typically a central midfielder, the 20-year-old stepped into the role following an injury to Reece Hutchinson, making his fourth consecutive start under manager Lee Bell as Crewe extended their unbeaten run to ten matches to top League Two.
Ure joined Crewe on a season-long loan after a previous spell at Ayr United under Scott Brown, who previously praised the midfielder's tactical intelligence and compared his qualities to Callum McGregor. Crewe now face a selection decision once Hutchinson returns to fitness.
