Celtic is preparing to step up Jota's workload by arranging a private fixture as the next stage of his rehabilitation. The 27-year-old Portuguese winger has been sidelined since suffering an ACL injury against Dundee United in April 2025. Manager Martin O’Neill delivered a positive assessment of his progress in training, with Celtic targeting an October 11 match against Motherwell for his possible matchday squad return.
Jota spent most of his recovery in Lisbon before returning to Lennoxtown in July.
