Martin O'Neill and members of the Celtic coaching staff visited the Estadio Nacional in Lisbon ahead of their Europa League match against Benfica. The stadium is the historic venue where Celtic secured the European Cup in 1967. O'Neill was pictured visiting the well-preserved ground alongside staff members Shaun Maloney and Mark Fotheringham.
Ahead of Celtic's fixture in the Portuguese capital, O'Neill shared his memories of watching the 1967 European Cup final as a 15-year-old at boarding school. He also recalled playing alongside Lisbon Lion Tommy Gemmell after both joined Nottingham Forest in 1971.
