Celtic boss Martin O'Neill has explained why he brought Cameron Carter-Vickers into his lineup for Sunday's defeat to Falkirk.

Celtic manager Martin O'Neill defended his decision to start Cameron Carter-Vickers following the defender's difficult performance in a league defeat against Falkirk. Carter-Vickers started for the first time since returning from injury, replacing Dane Murray in the lineup, but made mistakes that contributed to Falkirk's opening goal.
O'Neill explained that squad rotation was necessary due to a congested schedule and personal absences affecting Auston Trusty and Oliver Sorensen. The Celtic Bhoys writer Jamie Kemble noted that while Carter-Vickers struggled, the defender has remained generally consistent and should bounce back.
