Martin O’Neill Insider Demands Urgent Celtic Appointment

Former Celtic player Stiliyan Petrov has urged the club to make an urgent appointment to support manager Martin O'Neill rather than replace him. Speaking on talkSPORT, Petrov stated that parting ways with O'Neill would be a mistake despite recent disappointing performances against Hearts and Rangers. Instead, he argued that Celtic must immediately strengthen the football structure supporting the manager.

Petrov heavily criticized Celtic's transfer strategy, noting that completing six signings in the final 48 hours of the window hindered squad building. To fix these issues, Petrov called on Celtic to hire a director of football or head of recruitment to assist O'Neill with future squad planning and player recruitment.
