Former Celtic skipper Tom Boyd believes Martin O'Neill will still be in the Celtic dugout after the international break

Former Celtic captain Tom Boyd has backed manager Martin O'Neill to remain in charge despite consecutive defeats against rivals Rangers. O'Neill stated he would reflect on his future during the three-week international break following a 3-0 Premier Sports Cup quarter-final loss and a 1-0 league defeat at Ibrox. Boyd asserted that there is no reason for an early managerial change after O'Neill secured a domestic double last season.
The consecutive losses reduced Celtic's lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership table to two points. Boyd suggested that the 74-year-old manager's post-match comments likely related to resolving tactical and on-pitch issues with his squad, which integrated ten summer signings with only two starting in the most recent derby defeat.
