The South Africa international defender has been a standout since his summer arrival at Ibrox

Rangers defender Olwethu Makhanya reflected on the club's recent consecutive victories over Celtic, which included knocking their rivals out of the Premier Sports Cup and winning a Scottish Premiership derby at Parkhead. The league victory moved manager Derek McInnes' side to within two points of Celtic at the top of the table. Makhanya highlighted the team's ongoing six-game winning run, during which they have conceded just one goal.
The 22-year-old South African international arrived from Philadelphia Union for a reported £3 million transfer fee. Operating in a dual role at both center-half and covering for left-back James Penrice, Makhanya also had a volley disallowed by VAR for handball during Sunday's derby match at Celtic Park.
