Paulo Bernardo says a former Hoops teammate helped him decide to make the move to Poland this season.

Celtic midfielder Paulo Bernardo revealed that former teammate Luis Palma played a major role in convincing him to move to Poland on loan. The 24-year-old departed Parkhead to join Górnik Zabrze for the season after struggling for regular playing time in Scotland. Bernardo credited Palma, who plays for Lech Poznan, with praising the league and helping him decide to make the temporary switch.
Bernardo has made 14 appearances for Górnik Zabrze, and the loan agreement includes an option for the Polish club to buy him permanently. Bernardo stated that securing regular game time was essential for his career and noted that conversations with Górnik Zabrze coach Gasparik were pivotal in completing the transfer.
