Rangers secured an emphatic 5-2 Old Firm victory over rivals Celtic, handing them their first Scottish league defeat of the season. Celtic opened the scoring through a header from Maria McAneny, but Jodi McLeary struck twice to give Rangers the lead before halftime. Although Chloe Arthur equalized for Celtic after the break, Rangers responded ruthlessly with three consecutive second-half goals.
Substitute Hannah Blake restored the lead for Rangers after intercepting an error from Arthur. Katie Wilkinson quickly extended the advantage with a curling top-corner free-kick, and Calliste Brookshire added a fifth goal just two minutes later. Rangers manager Leanne Crichton praised her team's ruthless performance, which arrived immediately following a midweek trip to Sweden.
