Michael Gannon has said that Ross Desmond has been ‘heavily’ involved in Celtic’s transfer business in recent months. That’s despite the son of Dermot Desmond…

Ross Desmond has taken on a heavily hands-on role in Celtic's transfer business over the last six months, according to journalist Michael Gannon. Speaking on the Record Celtic Podcast, Gannon reported that the 44-year-old son of principal shareholder Dermot Desmond has been closely involved in player recruitment despite holding no official executive, directorial, or board position at the Scottish Premiership club.
The development comes amid tensions between supporters and Celtic's leadership following Ross Desmond's critical comments toward sections of the fanbase at a previous annual general meeting. Gannon noted that this increased involvement makes a sale of Dermot Desmond's 34 percent stake unlikely, dismissing speculation about ownership changes at Parkhead.
