The Story in 60 Seconds

Scotland played to a 0-0 Nations League draw against Slovenia in Ljubljana in head coach Sebastien Pocognoli's debut match. Following a difficult first half in a 3-4-1-2 formation where Robbie Ure hit the post, Pocognoli adjusted tactics to push higher up the pitch and involve Billy Gilmour more frequently.

Scotland dominated the second half and created several key scoring opportunities, but they were repeatedly denied by Slovenia goalkeeper Jan Oblak. Striker Oli McBurnie missed a one-on-one chance and had a header saved, while substitute Kieron Bowie and Aaron Hickey also narrowly missed scoring opportunities.
