💥 “I have no idea why somebody would say that. If they came into the building and watched us each day, Martin leads everything. Recruitment, team selection, tactical."
Celtic assistant Shaun Maloney has denied claims that he shares equal managerial power with Martin O'Neill behind the scenes. Addressing speculation from pundits suggesting he dictates the team's tactical approach, Maloney clarified that the 74-year-old manager remains fully in charge of recruitment, team selection, and tactics.
Maloney noted that O'Neill oversees training and makes key decisions just as he did in the early 2000s. He also confirmed that he, O'Neill, and Mark Fotheringham are signed through the current season, with future plans to be addressed afterward.
