Former Celtic player Aiden McGeady has discussed the tactical setup at Celtic under manager Martin O'Neill and his assistants, Shaun Maloney and Mark Fotheringham. Speaking on the Go Radio Football Show, McGeady suggested that the team's current style of playing out from the back is likely influenced by Maloney and Fotheringham rather than O'Neill himself.
McGeady expressed relief that O'Neill adapted the tactical system following recent poor performances but warned against using a 4-4-2 formation in upcoming matches. He noted that former midfielder Stiliyan Petrov also observed that the current possession-based style does not reflect O'Neill's traditional approach to the game.
