Bulgarian referee Georgi Kabakov has been appointed to officiate Celtic's upcoming Europa League clash against Celta Vigo at Celtic Park on Thursday, October 22. Kabakov will lead an all-Bulgarian on-field team with assistants Martin Margaritov and Martin Venev, alongside fourth official Nikola Popov, while German officials Søren Strox and Robert Schröder manage VAR.
The appointment follows Kabakov's recent role officiating a dramatic 3-3 draw between Viking and Bayern Munich, where he issued a late red card to Michael Olise.
