Frosinone sporting director Renzo Castagnini has revealed why winger Fares Ghedjemis did not complete a permanent transfer to Celtic during the summer transfer window. Despite Celtic pursuing the Algerian winger and the player wanting to leave, the arrival of the Clara Vista investment fund eliminated Frosinone's financial need to sell players.

Frosinone president Maurizio Stirpe maintained a high valuation that neither Celtic nor Rangers met before dropping out of the race. Although Stirpe would have considered selling, the club ultimately decided to retain Ghedjemis and is now working on a new contract extension for him.
