Sinisalo lost his number one for two matches last month when England international Johnstone stepped in

Celtic goalkeeper Viljami Sinisalo admitted that being dropped for on-loan Wolves keeper Sam Johnstone last month came as a surprise. The Finnish shot-stopper lost his starting spot for games against St Johnstone and Rangers before being restored to the lineup for a Europa League match against Ferencvaros.
Sinisalo stated he is determined to retain the starting role ahead of Celtic's upcoming European fixture against Benfica. He also highlighted his positive working relationship with Johnstone, whom he first trained alongside as a trialist at Aston Villa.
