Ex-Celtic target Will Ferry refuses to rule out Dundee United exit

Dundee United left-back Will Ferry has refused to rule out a departure from the club after contract extension talks were shelved. The 25-year-old defender, whose current contract expires in 2027, was previously linked with a summer transfer to Celtic as defensive cover. He could potentially sign a pre-contract agreement with another club in January.

Ferry revealed that while a contract offer was made, negotiations are not currently ongoing as he focuses on his fitness and performance. Dundee United previously accepted a £1.7 million bid for the player from Czech side Sigma Olomouc, but Ferry turned down the move. Celtic ultimately signed Landon Emenalo on loan from Chelsea instead.
