Defender hangs up boots at age of 33…

Former England defender Conor Coady has officially announced his retirement from football at the age of 33 following an emotional post on social media. The former Wolverhampton Wanderers captain had previously been a summer transfer target for Rangers in 2025 before joining Wrexham, and finishes his playing career after making 503 senior club appearances and winning 10 international caps for England.
In related news involving former Rangers personnel, midfielder Greg Docherty has secured a return to football by signing a free transfer deal with English Championship club Preston North End until the end of the season.
