Tynecastle side are preparing for the Premier Sports Cup semi-final…

Hearts defender Jamie McCart has stressed that defensive focus and constant communication are non-negotiable requirements against Hibernian in their upcoming Premier Sports Cup semi-final at Hampden Park. Under manager Wouter Vrancken, Hearts face a Hibs side led by Marink Reedijk that employs an aggressive high press, making concentration critical across the wide Hampden pitch.
McCart, who has played in 20 of Hearts' 21 competitive fixtures this term, highlighted the need to manage counter-attacking threats like Martin Boyle and Owen Elding. Alongside Malachi Fagan-Walcott, the 29-year-old centre-back plans to take on key leadership responsibilities while teammates Craig Halkett and Blair Spittal remain sidelined.
