The Jambos are now without eight first team players and the Belgian reckons starting pre-season too late is to blame for their current woes…

Hearts manager Wouter Vrancken has vowed that pre-season preparation will change next summer as the club grapples with a deepening injury crisis. The Jambos face a congested fixture list while contending with major absences, including Harry Milne's suspected ACL injury and Christian Borchgrevink's hamstring strain sustained during their 2-0 defeat against Trabzonspor.
Vrancken argued that having only three weeks of pre-season preparation before early European qualifiers left the squad lacking essential physical foundations. Multiple players remain sidelined across the squad, with Craig Halkett, Blair Spittal, and Renaud facing extended absences, while several others target returns across November and December.
