The former Parkhead striker has lifted the lid on the offers he had on the table

Former Hibernian and Celtic forward Derek Riordan revealed that Rangers attempted to sign him twice before his 2006 move to Parkhead. Speaking on Open Goal, Riordan stated that Rangers failed to offer enough money to Hibs to complete a transfer, adding that he was not desperate to make the switch to Ibrox.
Riordan noted he had interest from English clubs such as Cardiff and Leeds before ultimately joining Gordon Strachan's Celtic side. Following later spells with Hibernian, Chinese side Beijing Chengfeng, and clubs in the lower leagues, he reflected on the varied options available during the peak of his playing career.
