I wanted my kids at Hampden to watch my dugout bow – but hard hearted headmaster scuppered Scotland plans

Scotland head coach Seb Pocognoli revealed his children will be unable to attend his Hampden dugout debut due to school commitments in Belgium. Pocognoli had planned for his son William and daughter Naomi to travel for the home fixture, but the school's headmaster denied them permission to miss classes.

Pocognoli explained that after previously leaving Belgium for Monaco, he had secured places for his children to return to their Belgian school. Although they will watch the match on television wearing Scotland shirts, Pocognoli acknowledged the challenges his managerial career presents for his seven-year-old daughter Naomi.
