The Story in 60 Seconds

Rangers advanced to the Premier Sports Cup final after defeating Aberdeen 1-0 in a semi-final clash at Hampden Park. Ryan Naderi scored the decisive goal with nine minutes remaining, converting James Penrice's low cross into the bottom corner. The victory puts Derek McInnes' side within one win of lifting their first silverware in the competition since 2023.

Rangers dominated the attacking momentum through winger Badredine Bouanani, while Aberdeen goalkeeper Marius Muller produced multiple key saves. Aberdeen captain Kevin Nisbet threatened on the counter-attack, but Olwethu Makhanya made a vital late block before Naderi's winner. Rangers will face either Hearts or Hibernian in the final in December.
