Explained: How Rangers could have December fixture moved for a second time
Key Things to Know
  • Rangers' December 13 match against St Johnstone could be rescheduled again depending on cup results.
  • A victory over Aberdeen in the Premier Sports Cup semifinal would move Rangers into the December 13 final.
  • Three Rangers fixtures in December were recently rescheduled for television broadcast.
The Story in 60 Seconds

Rangers could face further schedule disruption in December, with their away fixture against St Johnstone potentially subject to a second date change. While the trip to McDiarmid Park was rescheduled for midday on Sunday, December 13, for television coverage, the fixture remains provisional based on cup progression.

The game will have to be moved again if Rangers defeat Aberdeen in their Premier Sports Cup semifinal at Hampden Park on October 31. Reaching the final, scheduled for December 13, would force the postponement of the league clash.
