Rangers secured a victory against Celtic thanks to a first-half goal from German forward Ryan Naderi. The 23-year-old, who was selected to start up front alongside Kevin Kelsy by manager Derek McInnes, reacted quickest to tap in a parried volley from Minsu Kim. The goal ultimately proved to be the winner in the Old Firm derby clash.
Despite his decisive goal, Naderi was involved in a bizarre second-half moment that left commentators Chris Sutton and Scott Arfield baffled. In the 65th minute, Naderi appeared to block his own shot on the goal line during a battle with Celtic defender Cameron Carter-Vickers. Sutton expressed amazement at the incident, while Arfield joked that the forward tackled his own shot.
