‘Leader’ who was open to summer Rangers transfer not ruling out future move

Scotland midfielder Lewis Ferguson confirmed he remains open to a future move to Rangers after a proposed transfer failed to materialize during the summer transfer window. While away on international duty, Ferguson stated that playing for the Scottish Premiership club was a childhood dream that has not changed, though he emphasized his ongoing respect and commitment to current club Bologna.

Rangers were reportedly quoted a £17 million fee for a permanent transfer, which rendered the deal financially unfeasible. Ferguson's father, former player Derek Ferguson, previously noted his son had agreed to the move, but Ferguson explained that a deal was never close, leading him to stay in Italy.
