Lewis Ferguson collars dad Derek for dropping Rangers transfer bombshells

Bologna midfielder Lewis Ferguson has clarified that a rumored permanent transfer to Rangers never came close to materializing during the summer window. Despite claims from his father, Derek Ferguson, suggesting terms had been verbally agreed to join Derek McInnes' side, the 27-year-old Scotland international chose to stay in Serie A after holding positive discussions with his club management.

Ferguson stated that Bologna was unwilling to let him leave and that he remains settled in Italy. However, speaking ahead of Scotland's Nations League match against Switzerland, the former Aberdeen player acknowledged that playing for boyhood club Rangers remains a future ambition.
